Last week when the Patriots stopped Indy on 4th & Goal , 1 of the Patriots Linebackers ran all the way to midfield and took off his helmet to celebrate , how come there was no flag ? Should it be a flag and Indy should get a first down ? I remember last year Cleveland got a flag in a game against K.C , that give K.C a first down and won the game on the last field goal .

Andy,

They should have thrown a flag but since the play was already dead it would have resulted in nothing more then a half the distance to the goal penalty for New England, who would have kept possession.

That Chiefs/Browns game from last year was different because the ball was still in play when the penalty was called.

Someone said somewhere that during a change of possession it is legal.

It doesn't make any sense . I saw alot of times that teams get flags for celebrating after scoring a TD , why not this? I'm really confused. Don't get me wrong cause I had N.E . I just don't get it .
